Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the most recent advice from the Australian Government, State Governments the Tour de Brisbane will be postponed.

Please see the statement below from event organisers:

The last few days have been challenging not only for sports and events, but also our friends, families and local communities. It appears these upsets may continue for some time and I extend our organisation’s sympathy to all those affected.

The Tour de Brisbane represents the interests of over 4000 riders and racers who just wanted to ride their bike in Brisbane.

Health and safety remains the utmost priority, and today I cannot forecast what will occur during the next few weeks or months.

We will not be hosting the Tour de Brisbane on 3-6 April 2020 as originally planned and our position remains:

‘The Tour de Brisbane is on hold as we work to confirm a postponement date with State Government, Local Government, Cycling Australia, the UCI, the Oceania Cycling Confederation and the Brisbane Cycling Festival.’

‘Until such time the postponement date can be confirmed, new and existing participant entries will remain on hold.’

If you would like to discuss the event further, please call myself or the team any time on 1300 282 949.

I look forward to getting back on the bike with all our cycling friends very soon.

Stay healthy and ride safe.

Mike Crawley | Race Director
