NRS on Zwift – Event 3 Recap

Course Details

Event 03 of the National Road Series on Zwift rolled out on Saturday, 30 May. Finally making it’s way to the iconic Watopia; we’re racing on the Jungle Circuit coming in at 37.4km and consisting of four loops 8km in length, on an all virtual gravel road.

Women’s Race

Bree Wilson (Roxsolt Attaquer) and Haylee Fuller (Sydney Uni Staminade) worked together to create a pivotal break early in the race. The pair went toe-to-toe for 15 kilometres to the finish, with the teenage Fuller taking the spoils.

Men’s Race

A gruelling early pace saw the peloton reduced to an intense bunch of 25 riders which featured some of the Series’ strongest riders. With nobody managing to create a decisive move, it came down to a bunch kick with Tom Benton (InForm TM Insight Make) taking a narrow win by only seven-hundredths of a second.
