  • JM17, JW17

  • JM15, JW15

EVENT SCHEDULE AND COURSES

Round 2:  Sunday 7 June 2020

Course

Paterberg, it’s been said that Flandriens are made of cycling and that’s probably not too far from the truth.

The Belgian region was the birthplace of Avermaet, Boonen and Gilbert, the hardmen of modern cycling. It’s also home to the most famous climb from one of the best one-day bike races of all time – The Paterberg which is part of the infamous Tour of Flanders.

What to expect. Expect to feel like a pro in the early season classics. You’re going to pick your way through the Belgian fields and rolling terrain before the Paterberg bites.

At only 400m long it isn’t an epic, but with an average gradient of 12.5% and a max gradient of 20% the legs will certainly feel it.

If you are racing here, expect to be reacting to attacks out of the corners and keep your position in mind as riders can escape and solo to the finish.

Round 2: Schedule

JM15 and JW15 11:00 AM AEST 4 Laps: 16.8km
JM17 and JW17 11:45 AM AEST 6 Laps: 25.2km
JM19 and JW19 12:45 PM AEST 7 Laps: 29.4km

Round 3:  Sunday June 21 2020

8 Bar:  The course is located at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin and is the home to Germany’s largest fixed gear bike race; The 8 Bar Crit.

If you’re here to race you better warm-up. There are loads of tight, technical corners that you will be braking for so be ready to go hard from the gun and push out of every turn to stay with the group. There is no climbing so the course can suit those with bigger absolute power.

Round 3: Schedule

JM15 and JW15 11:00 AM AEST 15 Laps: 15km
JM17 and JW17 11:30 AM AEST 18 Laps: 18km
JM19 and JW19 12:00 PM AEST 20 Laps: 20km

Round 4:  Sunday 7 July 2020

Courses

J15 and J17: Junior riders will be able to tackle the course that has been designated for the Junior National Road Championships in Wagga Wagga later this year.

J19: Riders will be able to tackle the iconic Bunyingong course.

Round 4: Schedule

JM15 & JW15 11:00 AM AEST 30.5km
JM17 & JW17 11:45 AM AEST 30.5km
JM19 & JW19 12:45 PM AEST 4 Laps: ~40.8km*

*On RGT this setups up as 1 continuous lap however the profile will be the same as doing 4 laps.
